What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a form of therapy in which fine needles are inserted into specific points on the body, for the purpose of promoting health and treating illness or injury.

Is acupuncture safe?

Acupuncture is generally very safe.  Serious side effects are very rare but minor side effects such as slight bleeding or bruising can sometimes occur.

Acupuncture is an ancient treatment method, originally developed in China, but now widely used around the world and throughout the United States.
