CHRISTOPHER J. BRETZ, M.D.

Meet the Doctor . . .

Christopher J. Bretz, M.D. is a graduate of the University of Toledo, Wright State School of Medicine, The Toledo Hospital Family Practice Residency Program and most recently, the UCLA Medical Acupuncture for Physicians Course.

He is a board-certified family physician who has been practicing family medicine since 1991.  He has recently completed an extensive training program in Medical Acupuncture and will be offering acupuncture services to the community.

Dr. Bretz, the youngest of 6 children, was raised on a farm in rural Henry County, Ohio.  From the beginning of his medical training, he wanted to be a small-town doctor.  Since moving from a busy 5-doctor practice in Toledo in 2005, he has been practicing in Fremont, Indiana and loving the patients, the community,  and the more relaxed pace.  He has recently moved to Angola, Indiana to a larger space where he can expand services for his patients.

He and his wife, Jackie, have been married since 1990.  Their "kids" are their two great dogs and the four of them make their home in Fremont.

Jackie is the office manager at Maplewood Family Medicine.

APPOINTMENTS

Office visits are by appointment only and can be made by calling our office at (260) 665-9100.

We try to see ill patients the day they call, if possible, but we encourage you to plan ahead for routine visits, physicals, and re-checks.

Wednesday 8 - 12

Friday 8 - 5

Closed daily for lunch 12 pm - 1 pm.

AFTER HOURS CARE

In case of life-threatening emergency, please call "911" or go to the nearest emergency center immediately.  After treatment at an emergency center, please contact our office on the next business day to arrange a follow-up appointment.  If your insurance requires a referral for emergency care, please notify our office when you call.

If you are ill at any time or if you are unable to reach Dr. Bretz at his office promptly, you may always feel free to seek treatment at the Urgent Care or the Emergency Center of your choice.

HOSPITAL CARE

Dr. Bretz provides care for his hospitalized patients at Cameron Memorial Community Hospital.  If you are hospitalized, Dr. Bretz or one of his on-call associates will care for you throughout your hospital stay.
